3-Way Control Valve এর কাজঃ
এটি এমন একটি কন্ট্রোল ভালভ যার তিনটি পোর্ট (connection) থাকে। সাধারণত একটি ইনলেট (Flow In) + দুটি আউটলেট (Flow Out) অথবা দুটি ইনলেট + একটি আউটলেট হয়।
এর কাজ হচ্ছে Flow কে divert (বিভাজন করা) বা mix (মিশ্রণ করা)।
ছবির অংশগুলো কাজঃ
1. Actuator: Instrument air (compressed air) এর সাহায্যে Valve Stem কে ওপরে/নিচে সরায়।
2. Valve Stem: Actuator থেকে বল পেয়ে নিচের Plug বা Disc কে নড়াচড়া করায়।
এর মাধ্যমে Flow নিয়ন্ত্রণ হয়।
3. Valve Body: আসল Flow Path থাকে এখানে।Flow In → Flow Out এর কাজ করে।
4. Positioner: Controller থেকে আসা 4–20 mA signal কে Actuator এ সঠিকভাবে translate করে।Stem position ঠিক রাখে।
5. Instrument Air Line: বাহির থেকে আসা compressed air supply দেয় একচুয়েটরে।
6. AFR (Air Filter Regulator): Instrument air কে filter করে এবং সঠিক pressure এ regulate করে।

গ্যাস জেনারেটরে Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) এর কাজঃ
গ্যাসের চাপ কমানো:সাপ্লাই লাইন থেকে গ্যাস অনেক সময় উচ্চচাপে আসে (যেমন 4 bar, 6 bar ইত্যাদি)।জেনারেটর ইঞ্জিন কিন্তু এত বেশি চাপ নিতে পারে না। সাধারণত 300–500 mbar (0.3–0.5 bar) এর মতো প্রয়োজন হয়।তাই PRV দিয়ে চাপ নামিয়ে আনা হয়।
নির্দিষ্ট চাপ ধরে রাখাঃ
লোড কম-বেশি হলে গ্যাসের প্রবাহ ওঠানামা করে।
PRV চাপকে স্থির রাখে যাতে ইঞ্জিনের কম্বাশন সবসময় ব্যালান্স থাকে।
সেফটি দেওয়াঃ
অতিরিক্ত চাপ এলে ইঞ্জিন ফ্লাড হয়ে যেতে পারে বা মিক্সার ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হতে পারে।
PRV এই ঝুঁকি থেকে রক্ষা করে।
Functions of PRV in Gas Generator:
Pressure Reduction:
The gas supply line often comes with high pressure (e.g., 4 bar, 6 bar).
But the generator engine cannot take such high pressure.
Normally it requires around 300–500 mbar (0.3–0.5 bar).
So, the PRV reduces the pressure to the required level.
Maintaining Constant Pressure:
When load fluctuates, the gas flow also varies.
The PRV keeps the pressure stable so that the engine combustion remains balanced.
Safety Protection:
If excess pressure enters, the engine may get flooded or the mixer may get damaged.
The PRV protects the system from such risks.
